Todays Reading - Breathe

Today’s card is from The Archangel Oracle by Doreen Virtue. The illustration is by Eileen Poldersman.

Breathe-Archangel Raphael.

Raphael is such a wonderful presence. He is the healing angel and is accompanied by flashes of green light that you may see out of the corner of your eye. His healing work encompasses all things on all levels, including past life issues that have created problems in this life.

Today his message is the simplest of all. Breathe.

Breathing is something we do without thinking. It is essential for life. Yet most people have developed a way of breathing that mirrors our fast paced, stress ridden lifestyle.

We all start off breathing correctly. If you watch a baby you will notice that it isn’t the chest that rises and falls as they breathe, but the stomach. Any movement in the chest region is a reaction to the stomach moving first. This is because babies and young children breathe into the abdomen and then allow the breath to fill upwards into the lungs. Most adults and older children breathe into the top half of the lungs only. Why? No one is sure, but my own theory is that as children we learn from adults. Children absorb so much, a lot of it subconsciously. As a mother of four and step mother of two, I have had the chance to see firsthand how children mimic the adults around them in, quite often, a way that is so accurate it is scary!

The way that most people breathe is actually the way we would naturally breathe when we are in a stressful situation. This sends a message to the body that we need to be in fight or flight mode, and keeps us in a constant stressful state. I don’t need to point out the health problems that this leads to!

So today Raphael is asking us to breathe fully into our stomachs and fill the whole body with breath. This massages the internal organs, releases toxins from the system, and brings us to a relaxed and balanced state. This in turn lowers blood pressure, slows the heart rate and clears the head. You will find that your energy gradually returns and the world suddenly seems a brighter place.

The cleanest air is found in the countryside or near water, but just breathing properly every day will help you in many ways and improve your health on a physical, mental and emotional level.

And remember, if you are feeling unwell, out of sorts or need help to breathe, just ask. Raphael is waiting to help you; he just needs to hear your call.

Todays Reading - Ace of Stones

Today’s card is from The Wildwood Tarot by Mark Ryan and John Matthews. The illustration is by the brilliant Will Worthington.

Ace of Stones – The Foundation Of Life.

In the book that comes with this deck the authors have provided a quote for each of the ‘suits’. For Stones the quote is as follows;

‘I learned this, at least, by my experiment; that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life that he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.’ Henry David Thoreau.

I love this quote. It captures exactly the intention we need in our lives to get to where we want to be. You must live the dream as much as you can, place yourself within it. Don’t view it from the outer edges or try and wish it into existence...live it every moment of your life.

The Ace of Stones today tells us to begin this process. It is the beginning of your dream, right now this minute. The Stone on the card looks like it is thrusting up through the earth, a solid arrow head of rock. It asks us to accumulate all our ideas and thoughts about what we want and how we can get there and make them into something solid. The time for planning in the warmth of the mind is gone. Your dream is ready to become something physical in the light of day.

Once you make the decision to creatively manifest your new reality and place yourself fully into your dream, this rock becomes your foundation, rooted within the earth’s vibrant, yet subtle energies. From this place of stability you have the power to fulfil your material dreams on this physical plane, whilst using the creative energies of your mind and emotions that often remain mysterious, but are ever present within us, to shape and mould our journey as it spirals through the labyrinth of our lives.
Your path through the labyrinth is no longer hidden, or vague. It is now etched in Stone.

Todays Reading - Relationship Harmony

Today’s card is from the Archangel Oracle by Doreen Virtue. The illustration is by Marius Michael- George.

Raguel is the Archangel of fairness and justice. He makes sure that everything works harmoniously and in Divine order.

Relationships cover such a huge part of our life. We have relationships with other people, animals, the planet and ourselves. Today Raguel is stressing the importance of harmony in relationships. There will always be times of conflict, even with those we love, and sometimes we may find it hard to feel forgiving or to be open minded.

For this day try and bring peace into your life by not only being open minded but also open hearted. Consider where any conflict really originates. Is it in another or is the real cause something within yourself? For instance have you berated a child for doing something that actually mimics a part of you that you hate? What do you hate about that part of you? Is it connected to a bad experience and how you reacted in the past? Is it something you are ashamed of? Really delve into the cause and attempt to find its root, and then ask yourself if this is something that you can release by offering yourself forgiveness. Or is it something that really causes no harm and is just a part of you that you think others don’t like, so you try and suppress it? Is it really that bad? If it’s a part of your personality sit back and ask yourself what would happen if you accepted it? We all have shadow sides that balance us, and we all hide them away as much as possible. Yet these shadow sides can teach us many lessons if we acknowledge that they are just another part of us. As always, loving yourself first and unconditionally allows us to usher peace and love into all our relationships.

Everyone’s perception of a situation is different. Everyone wants something different from that situation. Being open minded allows us to be fine with that, even if others cannot be. If you can show, by example, that you can see another’s point of view, and accept that it is different to your own, without having to give up your own beliefs then you will gain respect, even if it isn’t immediately obvious! Being fair and encouraging peace by allowing others to have different responses to us, will help stop any future conflict and bring about relationship harmony.

Todays Reading - Take Back Your Power

Today’s card is from the Archangel Oracle by Doreen Virtue. The illustration is by Marius Michael- George.

Archangel Raziel can help you understand esoteric material, manifestation principles, sacred geometry, quantum physics and other high-level information. He knows all the secrets of the Universe and the way in which it operates.

Today he wants us all to take back our power. How often do you give your power away to others? How often do you follow someone else’s advice, or let yourself be persuaded to do something even though it feels wrong, or it doesn’t completely fit with who you are and what you believe? How often do you get upset or angry because someone slights you or hurts you?

We are all wonderful people in our own right and we all have a right to be ourselves and live our lives doing, thinking and feeling the things we believe in. That doesn’t mean we act irresponsibly or without respect for others. It means that we adhere to our own inner code because in that way we honour who we are as an individual. When we live as our self we respect who we are and also the right of everyone to be who they are. We can allow someone else to have an opinion or to do something differently to us without thinking they are wrong or stupid or getting angry or irritated with them.

We are all capable of manifesting the things we need in our lives but most of us just don’t believe in our own capabilities. We don’t think of ourselves as powerful luminaries, or wise sages who have a mountain of inner knowledge to guide us. We think that we are lower than others or not as intelligent, or poorer, or less attractive. We constantly stress the negatives about ourselves and gradually erode our inner confidence along with our power. Raziel’s message couldn’t be clearer.

Take Back Your Power!

Start today by believing in you. If you believe in you so will everyone else.

Love who you are, and the law of attraction will bring people to you that love you for being you.

Start to live life as you want it to be. In this way you will manifest your desires and find that life becomes easier, happier and far more enjoyable. Once you make the effort to start this cycle it will keep going on its own, getting easier each day until you are living the life you want and being the person you are, instead of dreaming about it happening tomorrow.

Todays Reading - Green Tara

Today’s card is from the Goddess Guidance Oracle by Doreen Virtue. The illustration is by Sue Halstenberg.

The Goddess Tara is probably the oldest Goddess that we know of that is still worshipped by many today. She was originally a Hindu Goddess, but was then taken into the heart of Buddhism to the extent that she became the female version of Buddha. Many countries around the world have their own version of Tara. She has many aspects, the most well known being White Tara and Green Tara.

Green Tara is a Mother earth Goddess who urges us to take action rather than waiting for things to happen. She rescues us by empowering us to save ourselves. Her urges will bring new creative ways o f doing things into your life. If you have a problem sit quietly for a while and ask her to send you the idea you need to create your solution.

Today she is reminding us that responsibilities, particularly within family relationships, are for sharing. If you take on more than your share you will end up feeling resentful of others, especially if you end up with no time to do your own things that bring joy and peace to your life. Tara says there is nothing wrong with asking for help, it doesn’t weaken you. Instead it brings people closer together and helps bring balance to relationships.

I am someone who finds it hard to delegate within the family environment and I do feel resentful at times. I used to get annoyed that help wasn’t offered to me. Now I can see that I have a tendency to rush about, being organised and getting on with things in a determined and sometimes aggressive way. Because of this people get out of my way and leave me to it, the opposite of what I actually want. This then increases my annoyance and the cycle continues! There are many times that others would like to offer help to us, but we make it impossible for them to do so!

When we allow someone to help we usually find that they are more than happy to get a chance to be involved. Allowing others to help us, not only gives us the space to slow down and relax, it also brings balance and pleasure to the other person. It allows understanding and relationship to form, so never feel guilty.
One other thing to remember, from personal experience....not everyone does things in the same way! But that doesn’t matter, as long as things get done!
